Was known as the Orwig House, a neat Victorian home. Samuel Orwig was listed as a Buggy Maker in 1855. The present porch was added later. Porches were stylish around the turn of the century and were added to many buildings in Mifflinburg at that time. The Commericial Hotel, built in 1861, is directly across the street. Both are right on RT 45, the major highway for the area.
